A Western Plains man is on a mission to discover the grave of an unknown soldier. Reggie Fustaigne was not known to have fought in the Great War or any war for that matter, and he still lives with his wife and family in Western Plains which makes the search for his grave doubly difficult according to his son, Reggie Fustaigne Jr. ‘But I will never give up looking’ he added
Reggie Jr who also served his country behind the bar at the Grand Hotel in Liebig Street said he was motivated by respect. ‘People respect the sacrifice that soldiers made’, he said. ‘I’m hoping that by undertaking this foolhardy mission, some of that will rub off on me. Will I be on the front page?’ he asked.
